Rubber Band Car

Rubber Band Car

thingiverse

This is my first rubber band car creation. It relies on 3 mm wire as its driving axle and bicycle tube rubber for traction. With two rubber bands connected in series, this car can effortlessly run for 5 meters or more. The screw holes for the front wheel axles are meant to be tapped for m3 screws. The other holes remain plain. For the rear wheel axle I used 3 mm iron wire, commonly known as clothes hangline wire, purchased in bulk from a local hardware store. This wire was notched at its center and then glued and secured with an additional small piece of matching wire. I added a thicker rear wheel for added strength in case more power is needed. The thinner wheel proved fragile and easily broke during rough play with children.
