Initially, I envisioned a straightforward, mechanical device devoid of screws, electronic components, and data transmissions. To ensure durability, the mechanism would be weather-resistant and impervious to saltwater exposure. It consists of two parts: a stainless steel base affixed to the container's bottom and a coupling. The coupling features identical, homologous grey pieces and houses a rubber component (purple) secured by a metal ring at its upper end (blue). The rubber functions like a balloon; when weight is applied, it alters shape. The metal ring at the rubber's base divides into four sections for easy opening and closing of the hole. This design requires minimal alterations to the container and offers traction and resistance tailored to the rubber's performance.
