RT ELBOW (beta)
thingiverse
RT ELBOW system lets users with insufficient wrist mobility utilize a Wrist Powered Hand Prosthesis, as they have sufficient forearm strength to operate one. The RT Elbow must be thermoformed after printing and assembled with a socket and two tension support tensors. The RT Elbow features a two-wire tensor socket, requiring the use of an RT Whipletree to distribute tension forces across four fingers, not the thumb, for enhanced grip (BETA VERSION - PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE). RT Wires Guide is an optional component that provides wire order but isn't essential for operation. To utilize it, simply attach it to the end of the gauntlet; attachment methods vary depending on printing material. For PLA, chloroform or super glue works best, while ABS requires acetone. Be cautious when handling these chemicals - read safety information before use and proceed at your own risk. Best regards from Chile!
