/edit 08092019 Added 2nd Baseplate and FIXED Superview for the Session mount + added an optimized Base plate V3 (weight/shape improved for printability) + added an optimized Hero mount V2 A ReelsteadyGo compatible Softmount for Hero 5/6/7 and session 5, now compatible with TBS ND filters. (quick post to share files, more info and tutorial coming soon!) https://youtu.be/96DQsjyok3U - print parts on the side (rotate 90°) for best durability and performance...TPU is perfect but I tried PETG and it works fine until you destroy something with PETG by crashing. - don't use oil to fiddle silicone tubing into 3dprinted parts - that will slip out as easy as squeezing it in holes! Use pure water, compressed air or twisting motions. (tutorial coming soon) For Alien style drones, use the Soldering Iron to melt holes where you need it; your topplate can act as a stencil. It also works upside down for follow footage - just use bigger zip ties and the "flip gyro data" option in RSgo settings. You should start with 135-145 mm of silicone tubing in the front and about 180-190 mm in the back. Sometimes you need to cut it down about 5-10 mm in the front, depending on the type of silicone tubing you chose - you should have a nice round shape. If your tube gets flat - your bend is maybe too tight. (THX ninjarixx for asking that question in comments!) Quick tip: Before starting, give your running GoPro a 360 spin by hand and use that as 1st sync point in RSgo (the software should pick it up itself in most cases). - Use this 7x4mm silicone tubing for vacuum (works best but it's from Amazon.de) https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07PCMHHNH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - or use this 7x3mm type of tubing (Amazon US) https://www.amazon.com/Performance-Silicone-Vacuum-Tubing-Pressure/dp/B07QSJPVMB/ref=sr_1_20?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&keywords=7%2Bmm%2Bsilicon%2Btubing&qid=1567448126&s=gateway&sr=8-20&th=1 - or this https://www.amazon.com/Performance-Silicone-Vacuum-Tubing-Pressure/dp/B07SHKFDZX/ref=sr_1_18?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&keywords=7mm%2Bsilicone%2Btubing&qid=1567451057&s=gateway&sr=8-18&th=1 Shoot me a mail if you have questions or need help. I want everyone to be able to play with ReelsteadyGo and see more creative use of it! I'm sad to say that some setups will never be able to record footage with a Hero7 for ReelsteadyGo...try low pitched props like the Ethix S-line - and keep in mind that propwash is a real problem for the Hero 7. Fingers crossed that the next GoPro takes no shortcuts with its gyro use;-). v201@jkfx.de fpv.lol EN/DE Fly safe and don't forget to enjoy it! **If you have a better source for silicone tubing that's usable for vacuum applications and is 7x4mm, please let me know and I'll put it in the list!
