Introducing the RS-01 3D printed chassis by Brett Turnage of BTI 3D Labs, designed specifically for the Open RC F1 Remote Control Car. Named after Riverside Speedway, a historic racing track in California, this chassis aims to transform the Open RC F1 into a competition-ready race car. The RS-01 features fully adjustable front pushrods and rear suspension with an anti-roll dampener, a unique modular design that allows for easy swapping of axles, motor mounts, and wheels, making it suitable for both 3D printed and high-performance setups. The front suspension translates movement through rocker arms that compress the shocks, while the rear suspension moves independently, offering torsional control for improved handling. The chassis uses M3-1.0 screw taps and bolts to keep weight low. Brett plans to develop this suspension setup further and create different body types for the Open F1 RC car.
