RPi4 OctoPi case for Creality/Ender rails
thingiverse
This is a remix of MPMPMP's own remix of John Sinclair's popular Raspberry Pi 4 case, which he simplified for easier print and a cleaner look by streamlining vents and adding a grill for the fan. I've further optimized it for use as an OctoPi host with a Pi Camera, specifically by incorporating a slide rail on the right that allows mounting in the back of an Ender 3 Pro - although it should work on any similar 20x20 extrusion, check the channel shape first. You can mount it wherever you prefer, but I opted for a spot behind the PSU. A cutout has been added for the Pi Camera ribbon cable and some tolerances have been tweaked here and there. The design was remixed in Tinkercad, with multiple prototypes run and measured using calipers to ensure a good fit - although it's intentionally a bit tight, so you might need to file a small amount to get it to slide perfectly (my last test case required almost no adjustment). The top and bottom pieces snap together; be cautious the first time around the USB ports in front. They should stay together well, but given that this will sit elevated and attached to a vibrating platform, it's possible the bottom may work free over time - you can prevent this by using a couple M3 screws in the provided mounts. If you decide to mount it in the back, I recommend a right angle USB adapter as most cables will be a bit tight; although a regular one should also work. Additionally, some cable clips for the rails would help keep everything tidy.
