RPI4 Bare fan mount 40mm
cults3d
Just a simple naked fan mount. This works well for a raspberry pi I have under a desk. I dislike the complex cases which never print well, and never fit well. So I like keeping it simple. This use a 3 point mounting so you can plug the fan into the 5G / GND headers on the raspberry pi. In my example I use a step-up (boost converter) but this is only to have it spin at max speed. At 5V a noctua fan is nice and quite, but does run a bit slow. This is an example of the boost converter I used: https://www.diyelectronics.co.za/store/switch-mode-modules/1464-dc-dc-boost-step-up-2a-2-24v-with-micro-usb-input.html?search_query=boost&results=99. WARNING! If you choose to use a boost converter, be sure to adjust it before soldering the fan on, otherwise you may damage the fan. You will have to fish around for screws that work, I found old servo attaching screws fit just well. Sadly this is not 3mm holes through the Pi.
