RPi Filament Sensor Mount for the da Vinci Jr
thingiverse
I replaced the Bowden feeder on my Davinci Jr with a new one, mounting it outside the unit where it belongs. The filament sensor from the stock feeder stays put - I couldn't bear to part with it. Meanwhile, I wanted my Raspberry Pi firmly secured inside the unit, so I came up with this custom bracket. There are two versions to choose from: solid and honeycomb. I designed this bracket using openSCAD software. I'm grateful for EvanCarlsen's honeycomb generator code found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1652822, which I adapted with ease. Similarly, I made use of mattjoyce's parametric 90-degree code in https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2366480 to bring this project to life.
