RPI 4 HD Camera Case
thingiverse
#RPI Camera and PI case. \#2-56 screws to attach HD camera board to spacer and then spacer to Frame extension. Support only needed for window on the end of the case frame Extension for PI USB connectors opening. This particular implementation is to mount the camera on a telescope and the RPI takes images of where the telescope is pointing and computes the location of the center in sky coordinates. Once solved it send the position to the astro program SkySafari that will display a map of the sky centered on the solved location. There is an optional slide switch that can be connected to cause the PI when loaded with my skysolve software found at https://github.com/githubdoe/skysolve to switch between Access point wifi used at the "Field" or connect to the "Home" wifi. # Update The PI Camra C-Mount ring can come loose from it's PC board if too much force is applied. It is only attached with stick tape from the factory. In this case the force can be applied by the PI itself being mounted to the camera. To add support I created two new U shaped parts that can be screwed down over the C_Mount ring capturing the ring to the PC board. That uses the screws that mount the PC board to the space and frame The STL files are CameraLatch_1 and CameraLatchLower. That needed a larger hole in the Case cover and I added more air holes for better cooling.
