Royal Signet Typewriter Top Cover Keeper Bushing
thingiverse
The Royal Signet typewriter, made in Japan during the 1960s and 1970s, utilized a rubber bushing keeper to securely fasten the top cover. Over time, the rubber used on many of these deteriorates, often crumbling into dust. A functional replacement is being offered, designed to be printed using TPU (Ninjaflex, Semiflex, etc.). Printed in Ninjatek Semiflex at 220C/60C bed temperature, I achieved excellent results that were easy to work with. The replacement parts fit snugly into the existing holes, snapping securely into place. The cover fits very closely as a result. This design was created from scratch without using an intact part as a model.
