Royal Game of Ur
thingiverse
Royal Game of Ur emerges as one of the oldest known examples of board gaming equipment, yet Senet boards found in Egyptian graves precede it by as much as 900 years. The Ur-style Twenty Squares gameboard, also recognized as Asseb in Egypt, has been discovered in Pharaoh Tutankhamen's tomb and other locations. A partially descriptive tablet's discovery allows the game to be replayed after more than 2000 years, despite reconstructions of the detailed rules varying greatly. When creating the Senet Game, I believed it would be beneficial to also produce this game in a similar style. The board doubles as a lid, and the box holds all the pieces securely.
