Rowlet - Pokemon Sun & Moon Grass Starter

It's time for another 3D model! I've chosen Rowlet, the new Grass Starter from Pokémon Sun & Moon. The other two starters will be made soon, so make sure you're subscribed! I created this model in Fusion 360 using their sculpting and forms tools. First, I used a box form to create the main body, pulling out different spots until I got the shape I wanted. Next, I drew a sketch for the eyes and various details throughout the body. Those were then extruded and cut into pieces to keep the curvature on those details intact. The feet were created from sketches as well. Here are the print settings: Robo 3D R1, layer height of 0.1mm, infill of 20%, supports yes, raft yes, and a print time of approximately seven hours. Now, let's move on to post-processing! Step one is sanding or filing any rough spots. Then apply plastic primer, giving it a few coats with complete drying in between each coat. After that, use a slightly off-white acrylic paint for the eyes and lower body. A sponge works great for fast and easy coverage. Next up, apply a tan color to the outer feathers using the same technique as before. Finally, use a paintbrush to add details like the green feather/tail, feet, and eyes. Let it dry and you're done!
