Thing-a-Week #7 features a proof of concept laser scanner for the WowWee Rovio mobile webcam, which is affordably made using a $15 12mm diameter laser line generator from eBay. Its design is based on the laser scanner described in the Seattle Robotics link. This concept uses screws similar to the ones tested in the iHeartRobotics post.
