The top of the base is made from 1/4″ clear Acrylic, which gives it a sleek look, while the bottom is crafted from 1/2″ clear Acrylic for added durability. The parts were precision-cut using a laser cutter and fused together with Methylene Chloride for a strong bond. I salvaged the handle from an old angle grinder - you'd be surprised at how often people toss these things out without thinking to reuse them!
