Router template for an MFT top
thingiverse
This is a plate for the Makita DRT50Z 18V router with the plunge base. Together with a pegboard with 3 mm holes and 25 mm apart you can accurately make an MFT table top with 19 or 20 mm holes (depending on the router bit you are using). I made mine with 100 mm distance between the bench dog holes. The outer holes of the jig serve as a foolproof visual indicator that I am at precisely 100 mm distance from the previous hole, not 50, not 75, not 125 etc. I recommend pre-drilling the holes with a 12 mm drill bit for example and using a spiral bit with your router. This jig is particularly useful if you want perfectly aligned holes that are straight and perpendicular to each other. Here in Germany you can find this type of pegboard at you local BAUHAUS: https://www.bauhaus.info/zuschnittplatten/lochplatte-nach-mass/p/14510163 If you find this design useful please consider sending me a tip. You would be supporting me and my practice. Thank you very much in advance!
