router jig for cabinet hinges
thingiverse
Here is my router jig for creating holes in cabinet doors for Hettich Sensys 8645i TH52 hinges that I designed to make the job easier. It's precision-crafted from a single piece of 3mm MDF plate using laser cutting technology and all its components fit together seamlessly. To ensure stability, it's recommended to secure the jig with three 3x20 screws. I chose to use a Festool template ring measuring 17mm in conjunction with a 10mm router bit to drill holes that are exactly 13-14mm deep, which allows the hinges to fit perfectly every time. Festool screw clamps provide a secure hold on the jig by fitting snugly into their respective slots. The SVG file for this project already accounts for a kerf of 0.1mm, so no additional adjustments are necessary. To maintain a safe distance from the edge marked C (as depicted in the drawing), I've set it to 4.5mm. Two pilot holes with diameters of 2.5mm are strategically placed to guide the drill bit and ensure accurate hole placement.
