Router circle jig (print in place, 30mm -> unlimited radius)

This is a circle jig for routers. It has several features not commonly found in other circle jigs. • It has very minimal hardware requirements, and requires just an m6 threaded rod (cut in two parts of equal length). The rods just screw into the router baseplate. • You can pin the centre pivot with either a screw through the middle (~4mm Ø), or with small nails (4x holes @ 2mmØ) • It uses print in place cam locks that lock the cutting radius without changing t he radius (the cams don't contact the threaded rod, instead pressing on a flat plate, so that there is no back or forth movement when tightening them. • It is able to slide under the router to enable cutting circles with a radius as small as 30mm (centre to centre). With a narrow bit, this could mean holes as small as 63mm across. In addition, it can be extended as far as you're happy to go with m6 rods. I've been using it to cut holes with a radius of 30cm. The wide separation between the rods means it's stable and accurate even with larger radii. Depending on your router you may need to use a countersunk screw for the pivot, to prevent it hitting the router guide. • The hole layout is designed to match Makita base plates - specifically their XTR01Z 18V router.
