Round Venice
sketchfab
A "reverspective" optical illusion 3D painting created by Patrick Hughes. Reverspective (reverse perspective) is where parts of the picture seem farthest away, but are actually physically nearest to the viewer. This model shows the actual painting consisting of three pyramids protruding towards the viewer with tops cut off: the bases of the pyramids are flat against the wall and farthest away. The three rectangles that appear in the distance at the end of the buildings are actually the flat tops, making them physically nearest to the viewer. Rotating this model will drive you crazy! It's a mind-bending illusion that challenges your perception of depth and space. Check out Patrick Hughes' website for more information: http://www.patrickhughes.co.uk/
