Round Soffit Vent
pinshape
Summary This soffit vent fits snugly into a 2.5" opening on a house's eave. The soffit screens on my house were severely rusting, allowing birds to build unsightly nests in them. Instructions Simply insert the vent into the hole using a friction fit. If it doesn't fit perfectly, adjust the "eave_hole_diameter" setting in the OpenScad file to resize it. Also, if you use the OpenScad file, consider adjusting the print settings for layer height, skin size, and extrusion width to achieve a better print quality. I used: 0.25 layer height 0.60 skin size 0.5 extrusion width I've provided two vent designs: one with the screen recessed into the hole and another with the screen flush with the opening. I opted for the recessed design, which looks more visually appealing. To match my front door's color scheme, I printed it in red PLA.
