Round Profile Drilling Help
thingiverse
Recently, I had to bore numerous wooden round profiles with my drill press. Striking the center of these profiles proved to be quite challenging and time-consuming, so I designed this tool. The printed part is attached to a piece of plywood using screws. After centering the jig with the centering plug (Centering Help.stl), I clamped it firmly onto the drilling table. This ensured that the drill bit remained centered at all times. Another stop block determined the precise position of the drilled hole, eliminating the need for any additional measuring. I would advise against using this jig to drill metal due to its PLA composition. In its current design, the jig is suitable for use with drill bits up to 9.5 mm in diameter. Please use and print at your own risk.
