Round Nesting Depth Gauges

Round Nesting Depth Gauges

Most depth gauges require you to hold the router "up-side-down" / "router-bit-up" and then carefully adjust the router bit's depth, with the weight of the router and gravity working against you. These are easier to use because they let you adjust the depth "router-bit-down". Simply follow these steps: 1. Release the depth control on your router. 2. Rest the base of the router on the segmented rims of the depth gauges. 3. The router bit will then bottom out at the gauge's specified depth. 4. Lock the depth control on your router. These are designed so that they nest nicely and have the depth label printed into them, making it easy to read and use. I made every 1/8" from 1/8" - 3/4" because this covers what I tend to use the most in my shop. If there are enough requests in the comments, I can do a larger set at 1/16th or add some larger depths. If you use these in your shop, let me know what you make. If you post about it on instagram using #madebythisguy, I'll see it and might even share it!
