Round lipped Scifi bases
thingiverse
I just assembled those impressive sci-fi bases designed by 3dnecronlord into the round lipped bases created by funkatr0n, which perfectly fit my warcaster neomechanika miniatures from privateer press. These bases match the dimensions used in other privateer press games such as warmachine and hordes. To ensure a secure hold, I added holes on the underside to accommodate the 3mm diameter, 2mm height neodym magnets that I use. A small touch-up with a drill bit was necessary after drilling the holes to achieve a smooth finish. Although it was my first project in Meshmixer, I managed to learn from my mistakes and improve my skills. However, I still need to experiment with different settings to find the optimal balance between low file size and detailed design. To print these bases effectively, I recommend printing them flat without supports. A 4mm brim is sufficient to prevent wrapping during the printing process.
