Round LED lamp standoff

Round LED lamp standoff

thingiverse

This is a compact, angled standoff designed for fitting a round recessed ceiling light on top of a Torchiere floor lamp. Use an 8"/200mm or 9"/225mm diameter low profile round LED panel light. The standoff allows for airflow around the edge of the lamp and leaves space for the lamp driver underneath. You will need three M3x8 or M3x10 screws to attach three standoffs to the round lamp, replacing three of the six shorter screws holding the back plate in place. For floor lamps with a translucent center section, drill or punch a few holes in the backing plate and reflector sheet to allow some light to escape through the back of the lamp. Remove the halogen light bulb socket, install the LED driver (dimmable if your floor lamp has a dimmer switch) using two original wire nuts. Plug the round panel light into the driver and you're done. You can add some BlueTak to the bottom of the standoffs for extra stability.
