round Hamster wheel (very thin)
thingiverse
Hello,\r\n\r\nI created a hamster wheel that's incredibly intricate yet possesses very low mass inertia.\r\n \r\nMy primary focus was on:\r\nIt should be enclosed on one side to prevent hamster foot injuries.\r\nIt should resemble a bowl in shape for containing the hamster while it runs.\r\nIt should feature some holes to ensure smooth traction.\r\nIt should be designed for mounting on a 608 zz bearing.\r\nIt should be smaller than standard wheels.\r\nIt should be so lightweight that the hamster can stop at any time without being thrown through the cage.\r\n\r\nKey specifications:\r\n- Inner diameter: 150 mm.\r\n- Bearing mount compatible with 608zz bearings.\r\n- Wall thickness: 1.5 mm.\r\n- Printing time: Approximately 8 hours.\r\n- I used a 5% infill, but I think higher percentages would yield better results.\r\n\r\nHere it is. I printed it in ABS to test my warping issues, and I successfully fixed them by applying an aceton-abs mixture to the bed's surface.\r\nI believe PLA would provide more stiffness. Since ABS seems quite flexible as it stands, I plan to put it through a dish washing machine test.\r\n\r\nGood luck. If you print it in PLA or any other material, please leave a comment with your results.
