Hi everyone, and almost-Christmas cheer! This simple foot for furniture or appliances can be printed in TPU to prevent sliding around or in Nylon or PETG for a more significant furniture slider effect. I designed this model with an outer diameter of 15mm and a 4mm mounting hole for #6 hardware, but you can easily scale it up or down according to your needs. The inner diameter is 8mm, accommodating the 7mm heads of the #6 screws I'm using, and should work perfectly in most cases. I'm currently using this as anti-skid feet for a small electronic device, but feel free to adapt it to suit your specific requirements. As always, this simple object reminds me of one of the greatest benefits of 3D printing - no more trips to the hardware store for cheap furniture feet! Print Settings Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer: R1 ABS + PLA Model Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: Whatever Infill: Solid, 100%. Printing at a lighter setting may result in an uneven outer surface. Notes: This simple object can be made with a soft material like TPU for anti-skid feet or a slick, hard material like Nylon or PETG for use as a slider foot. If you find that it peels free during the first layer without a raft, try adding one. Other than that, enjoy printing and happy footing! Quick Note: After making my first model in TPU, I discovered that the tiny ridges on top actually reduce friction significantly. If your non-skid feet aren't as effective as they should be, try rubbing the contact surface with fine-grit sandpaper or melting it against a smooth, hot surface like an overheated print bed. This will help to smooth out the ridges and increase friction. The same ridges can also work in your favor when making slider feet.
