It's an essential component for accurate measurements. To calculate the radius of a round object, simply multiply your caliper reading by 2.414. Extend Your Caliper's Reach Not only can this adapter help you measure larger objects, but it also extends the reach of your caliper. For example, if your caliper has a maximum reading of 150mm, with this tool, you can measure diameters up to 724mm (thanks to the multiplication factor). Max Radius Reading = Max Caliper Reading x 2.414 Design and Verification I conducted some quick geometric calculations to establish a relationship between caliper length and radius. I then verified these findings using computer-aided design software. To ensure accuracy, I printed out a test piece and took real-world measurements to confirm the results.
