Description Emblem "quartered" with heraldic symbols of Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan from 1480 to 1499, son of Francesco Sforza and Bianca Maria Visconti, is a representation divided into four equal parts. The two right quarters showcase the snake, symbol of the Visconti family's heritage. The two left quarters display the broom symbol, recalling Ludovico il Moro's enterprise during his rule to reorganize the Duchy. A lily from France occupies the center, representing the occupation of Milan in 1499. This emblem is preserved at Museo di Arte Antica, Sforza Castle, Milan, Italy, with inventory number 1063 bis. The emblem measures 0.57m wide, 0.57m high, and 0.09m deep. It is crafted from sandstone material.
