I purchased five NeoPixel rings, each with 24, 16, 12, 8 and one pixel that nest perfectly inside each other. The Data Out connection from the outermost ring was linked to the Data In on the next ring, and so forth, resulting in a substantial array of addressable WS2812 pixels. I utilized a severed servo lead for the final link to the outside world, which was subsequently controlled by a Pi Zero (Raspberry Pi).
