I needed my spool to spin more smoothly, so I decided to upgrade my old spool holder on my desk. Since I have 25mm rods holding up the top shelf, I created a clamp that attaches securely to those rods for the spool. The clamp requires an M4 bolt and nut to hold it in place when tightened fully - at which point, it won't budge. However, due to another project, I already had something to stop it on the pole, so I left the bolt loose to allow some swiveling movement.
