Rough Balewind Vortex Proxy of GW's Endless Spell, with significant Aztec Lizard themes. --------------------------------------------------------------------- This file was a remix of several items: Tornado with Permission from Tinyclone: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4017092 Base altered from Axquirix's Star totem: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3389099 Aztec Topper from Sneezembop: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3160599 Lizardmen Shields from Ilhadiel: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4186125 Snake Totem from my personal files for a StarPriest Proxy: (coming soonish?) --------------------------------------------------------------- Topper: 1) Thickened in Meshmixer using Make Solid and offset features to create a more robust design. 2) Took the thickened mesh into Blender and used sculpting tools to redefine the stencil with intricate details. 3) Used multiple plane-cuts in Meshmixer to remove center Aztec features, salvaging as much detail as possible. 4) Plane cuts were also used to increase the depth of sculpted stencil lines by deleting portions of height and using the transform tool. 5) Utilized a base described below to help bring texture back to the center of the medallion. 6) Mirrored the topper in Cura to match the rotation direction of the tornado. --------------------------------------------- Main Body: 1) Admired Tinyclone's work, drawing inspiration from their product available for tabletop RPG spell effects seen here: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-tornado-4-variants-fits-a-mini-inside-105761 2) Asked permission to post work using original files. 3) Chopped the top portion of the free version, placing it towards the bottom in Meshmixer for a flat top. 4) Duplicated and resized copies of the previous top cut off in the middle of the tornado in Blender to maintain texture at scale. 5) Included debris such as snake totems and lizardmen shields in Blender to add detail. --------------------------------------------- Base: The base matches roughly GW's official base size, using an irregular shape with stone protruding out. From Reddit, it is between 90 and 110mm, so I sized the base to 100mm. Made from: Stardream Saurians Totemic Dial" by Axquirix Cut tops and bottom off of Axquirix, scaling it to fit the base size.
