Rotring Pilot G2 800+ Ratio

<p>I love Pilot G2 pens, but I also love Rotring mechanical pencils and industrial design. Since I chew my pens (I know gross) I needed a replacement body/holder for my unfinished G2 cartridges/refills. Thus this pen was born; merging Rotring design and twist extend/retract mechanism with my favorite ink! Styled like a Rotring 800+ scaled to the width of a vintage Rotring 600 Fountain Pen.</p><figure class="media"><oembed url="https://youtu.be/EwJzKl60XGA"></oembed></figure><p>Hardware Required:</p><ul><li>1X M2 x 20 Bolt</li><li>1X M2 Heat-press Insert</li><li>2X M2 Nut</li><li>Pilot G2 Spring &amp; Cartridge</li></ul><p>Print Settings:</p><ul><li>0.05-0.07 Layer Height</li><li>&gt;20% infill</li><li>3+ shells</li></ul><p>Assembly Instructions:</p><ol><li>Press heat insert threads into the knob from the underside (opposite of the thin cylindrical protrusion)</li><li>Press M2 nut into hexagonal section of the plunger</li><li>Thread M2 bolt from the opposite end of the plunger until tight</li><li>Lock the M2 nut in place with a second M2 nut</li><li>Thread plunger assembly into knob from the underside (same side as the heat insert was pressed into</li><li>Press knob &amp; plunger subassembly onto the body (opposite side of the threads/snap fit)</li><li>Toss G2 spring and body into the grip</li><li>Thread grip subassembly onto the body subassembly</li><li>Twist the knob counter clockwise to extend the point, clockwise to retract! (next iteration make this less annoying to do, too many turns!)</li><li>ENJOY!</li></ol>
