A Stratasys F370-printed 4" PVC pipe sweep features a black ASA parts, including a main shaft that is the dust pipe itself with a slot for dust control. When the large gear rotates forward, it shears open the slot, functioning as the seal. The geared flap has a cosmetic purpose. Due to schedule 40 pipe's imprecision, you may need to adjust its surface to fit your pipe. Cutting the slot with a 1 3/8 forstner bit and hand jigsaw was straightforward. The bottom of the flap requires slight sanding due to tightness from being off its axis of rotation. Both gears print self-supporting, while diamond holes on the handle and pipe clamps need tap drilling and tapping at 1/4-20 or M6. The top hole on the handle is for a lube reservoir, though it may be extraneous. M6 holes are used for small gear's axle to match bearings. Apart from incorrect large gear shaft size and sanding issues, the build process was smooth. Direct spray silicone application might require a slower dispensing style due to limited reservoir space.
