My Wife took charge of getting rid of an old broom stick that had a hook attached - this is essential for opening and closing our roof window's blinders. She decided to create one that matches the current broom perfectly. To secure it in place, she used a small cable binder at the end of the stick. I highly recommend printing with PETG, laying it on its side. The flexibility of PETG makes it strong enough and durable to move the blinder without worrying if it bends slightly. When printed with four walls for added strength, you don't need much material anyway.
