Rotation Visualizer small for 8x3mm magnet
thingiverse
I've got my hands on the brand new BMG extruder for my MK3 printer, and I'm telling you, it's way too cramped in there for my go-to rotation visualizer, so I had to remix the design. This setup is a perfect match for the LDO 0.9° pancake stepper - it's like they were meant to be together. You'll notice a tiny little recess (0.2mm) that's just begging for an 8mm x 3mm magnet to call home; all you need to do is slap on some glue, and you're good to go. The Fusion 360 file is included for your convenience. Update 2019-01-26: I've added another version with a wall surrounding the magnet - it's a super tight fit, but trust me when I say it's worth the effort. To get it in there, I had to carefully shave off the seam where the layers met and then press the whole thing into place, giving it a few turns along the way. But once it's in, you'll see that it centers perfectly and gives the part a much cleaner look while it's moving.
