Rotation to Sliding
grabcad
The original project was created using Autodesk Inventor 2014, with animations and renderings achieved through the Inventor Studio module. This mechanism allows for the conversion of continuous rotation into sliding movement; in the enclosed video, observe that there is a significant difference between slider displacements in opposite directions - one slow (active motion) and the other fast (passive motion). By modifying the Curved Lever's geometry, additional effects can be achieved. Be aware of the notable pause during roller movement along the main arc of the Curved Lever. To customize the animation using Inventor, download all files to a single directory and open the .iam file with Inventor 2014 or later versions; access Environments/Inventor Studio to modify settings for personalized animations. Happy exploring!
