Rotating table reusing old 2,3kg spool
thingiverse
I repurposed a vintage 2.3kg spool from my 3D Prima stash to craft a sturdy stand for painting projects. The inner diameter of the spool measures 52mm.\r\nPrint the central roll and the stand with minimal infill (10% worked well for me).\r\nThe pin should be printed with high infill or solid, ensuring maximum strength.\r\nTwo versions of the 300mm top plate are available: one features a center knob to secure the bearing in place, while the other does not.\r\nTo enhance stability, you may want to apply glue to the roll and spool interface, as well as between the pin and stand.\r\nThis project requires two 608 bearings to assemble the stand properly.\r\nCheck out this video for a closer look at the rotating spool in action: http://www.gose.se/filer/rotatingspool.mp4
