To build this assembly, you'll need a wooden dowel with an outside diameter of exactly 10 millimeters and several wooden plates featuring a precisely drilled hole measuring 10 millimeters in diameter. These plates are mounted onto the dowel using a secure plug connection. To achieve this, a 6-millimeter hole is carefully drilled into the dowel itself. For added stability, some adhesive is applied to hold the wooden plates firmly within their designated holder. Next, twelve balls are used for each bearing unit, and a small amount of lubricating oil is introduced to ensure smooth operation. In my specific case, I found it necessary to slightly sand down the dowel, as its original outside diameter exceeded 10.5 millimeters.
