Rotating Phone Holder

This is my first published model, so please be gentle!

My phone is a Redmi Note 8 Pro with a thick TPU case, I use a USB C cable with a magnetic tip, so the clearance must be tall. I have a lanyard loop on the right side, so I made a cut out for that. I designed the holder to be half height so it won't interfere with the buttons, and have to design around that so that's why the rotation rings are quite big to lower the centre of gravity. Cleared out the bottom to allow for audio and cables.

I have an Ender Pro 2, small bed, so I can't print big models, so I modeled the holder in parts. The Tower part would be problematic with feet attached so I separated the two, using… [biscuits? dowel? construction, not sure about the clearance, but can be glued down if desired.] I remade it because of course the previous method was flimsy as heck. It's now way more stable.

For assembly, put the pizza piece of the Tower through to Puck-Man's mouth of the ring connector, and rotate. Position the pizza piece upwards to allow clearance of the phone holder to latch onto the ring connector. On hindsight this might seem flimsy, so glue away if desired.

This means the pizza piece won't rotate out of the ring connector if the Phone Holder is in place. Captive design!

Other little details:

Phone Holder has a lip to hold the phone in place in both orientation

Tower ring is as thin as possible to allow the detents in the Ring Connector to move around, 4 detents for positive lock

Forgot about the raised camera bump, so I just adjusted the depth of the Phone Holder, some phones might clear this due to different camera orientation (either using current Phone Holder or remixed Phone Holder

Pizza has a bite taken out of the tip to allow the aforementioned orientation to attach phone holder

Supports:

Feet = no?

Phone Holder = Use tree support down to buildplate

Tower = Support the pizza using tree support down to buildplate

Ring Connector = Support the connector? This might break off anyway, so you can just glue it to the Phone Holder

Edit: Ring connector might be a bit snug, so in Cura, I lowered down the model to remove a layer height, printed it with horizontal expansion set at -0.1 and it fits right in, while still allowing rotation.

For the OCD folks: I tried balancing the Hexagons as close as possible.
