Action video! https://youtu.be/3GjSUULkq5I (150mm size with large dice)

I wanted something fun to store my dice, that also worked on the gaming table without taking up massive amounts of room, so I came up with this.

Print separately, the tube section standing up on the knob end, and the sleeve section sitting on the flat section. Lots of supports, depending on how paranoid you are.

After removing supports simply slide the tube into the sleeve until the catches click in.

The three numbers in the file names refer to the length of the flat side of the slot in the tube, slot diameter is 28 mm.

50 mm stores about 3 d20s.
90 mm snugly stores a set of 7 dice.
100 mm more loosely stores a set of 7 dice.
150 mm stores a bit more than a full set of large dice.

It's helpful to leave a finger space of room in the tube so you can get the dice out.

2018-11-15: I added more sizes just choose a pair of files with matching numbers and they should work together unless something happened in the export.

2018-12-11: Added a cap that slips over the knob end that keeps the two clips from moving outward and thus prevents the inner tube from rotating if it's just in a bag or something.

2022-01-03: Added 160 - 200mm sizes (length of straight on interior slot) for people with bigger printers! Also a 3mf file with all the parts properly oriented for printing, though all on the same bed, so just delete all but the ones you actually want.

Print instructions

Orient the inner tube to stand on the knob end, I recommend using both supports and brim so that the top end prints properly.

Orient the sleeve to print on the flat portion of the base, supports recommended as there are still some large overhangs on the top section.

Category: Toy & Game Accessories
