Rotating Cribbage Board
thingiverse
My family has always been passionate about cribbage, with a long history of crafting custom boards, just like our late relative did before us. Once players reach 30 points, they rotate the board in reverse direction, which is clearly indicated by small triangles on either side. This clever design keeps everyone engaged and challenged throughout the game. As I sought to create a crib board that could hold an entire deck of cards, I knew it had to be more than just a simple drawer. A flimsy drawer would likely fall out entirely, so I implemented a rail system that not only guides the drawer into place but also locks it securely inside. This innovative design ensures that the drawer remains firmly in position. To complete the project, I needed to sand both the slider and the drawer until they fit together snugly with just the right amount of friction. The end result is a smooth and seamless operation. In the future, I plan to upgrade this design by incorporating magnets instead of manual sliders for an even more efficient experience.
