<h3>Rotating Christmas Tree Star</h3><p>Decorative star as a rotating christmas tree topper. The christmas tree star consists of 4 parts, is made to rotate by a small DC motor and has the following dimensions (width x height x depth): 16.6 cm x 25.5 cm x 2.0 cm</p><figure class="image image-style-align-center image_resized" style="width:50%;"><img src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/93371/rich_content/bf347ba4-ff42-4f35-8c2a-dcec89b3845b/rotating_christmas_tree_star_gif.gif#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%221ab590ee-b3c9-439d-a616-15f6a62c3caa%22%2C%22w%22%3A364%2C%22h%22%3A364%7D"></figure><p>The following DC motor is used (3 V DC, 15 rpm):<br><a href="https://www.amazon.de/dp/B085NL8Z2T">https://www.amazon.de/dp/B085NL8Z2T</a></p><p>Besides the DC motor you need 2 M2 countersunk screws (length: 6-8 mm), a 2-wire cable (copper wire, e.g. 2x0.14 mm²; length: &gt;20 cm) and a 3 V DC voltage source (DC power supply or batteries).</p><p>The following devices/components are suitable as voltage source:</p><p>3 V DC power supplies:<br><a href="https://www.amazon.de/dp/B01F8U2YXM">https://www.amazon.de/dp/B01F8U2YXM</a><br><a href="https://www.amazon.de/dp/B002E4YQGY">https://www.amazon.de/dp/B002E4YQGY</a></p><p>Battery holder with switch (2x AA batteries):<br><a href="https://www.amazon.de/dp/B093F6JN6P">https://www.amazon.de/dp/B093F6JN6P</a></p><p>(I use the variant with the battery holder.)</p><h4>Assembly</h4><p>The required printed parts are mentioned in the respective steps (in brackets).</p><ol><li>Thread the cable through the small hole in the holder (<i>1_Holder</i>) from below.</li><li>Strip the upper end of the cable and solder it to the DC motor.</li><li>Place the DC motor in holder (<i>1_Holder</i>).</li><li>Secure the cover (<i>2_Cover</i>) over the motor with 2 M2 countersunk screws at top end of the holder (<i>1_Holder</i>) so that the motor is completely enclosed.</li><li>Place the hub (<i>3_Hub</i>) onto the drive shaft of the motor.</li><li>Place the star (<i>4_Star</i>) on the hub (<i>3_Hub</i>) (with some glue if necessary).</li><li>Connect the other end of the cable to a 3 V DC power source.</li><li>Place the assembled star onto the top of your christmas tree and turn on the power source.
