Custom bases are designed to fit standard 1/2" post holders for securing optics and detectors on optical tables. The slots within these bases allow for clearance along 1/4-20 screws, ensuring smooth movement. To extend the lifespan of the base, a washer should be used when tightening it down to the table. The slot radius is measured at 1". The center hole(s) are countersunk, requiring a 1/4-20 screw inserted from below to attach to commercially available post holders. Successful printing in PLA has been achieved with both versions of this design. However, you may find that the center through holes need to be widened due to shrinkage during the print process. This product can be paired with the 3" table clamp found elsewhere on my profile.
