A polishing machine for smoothing out 3D prints works best with prints that have been coated with filler or are made from metal filament, such as Color Fabb's copperFill. As an abrasive medium, brass bolts are used. M5 bolts and nuts hold the housing and brackets securely in place on a wooden plate. M3 bolts and nuts secure the cable and motor to the housing. M2.5 bolts and nuts attach the gear to the shaft. To ensure a secure and safe cable installation, shrinking tube or insulation tape should be used.
