Rotary Tool Workstation
thingiverse
This is a Dremel-like workstation that I created by combining various components from other projects. The Dremel holder nut and pinion/gear system were borrowed from existing designs, while the rotatable support was custom-designed to hold the tool at 45 degrees and 90 degrees. This workstation is built using spare nuts and bolts along with a piece of 19mm diameter pipe. Users may need to adjust the nut holders and holes in the design to suit their needs. The rotatable support requires some improvements to make it easier to release the holder nut and rotate the body. I achieved this by creating a cross pattern, which provides a clicking sensation when reaching the desired angles. However, this solution is not perfect yet. The workstation has been tested with a Chinese Dremel clone, indicating that it should be compatible with standard Dremels. I encourage users to adapt the design to their specific requirements and propose any necessary changes. Feel free to share your results and modifications. This project requires the following parts: * Three M5 nuts and bolts * Some M3 nuts and bolts * Approximately 30 centimeters of 8mm threaded rod * One spring Print settings for this project include: * Printer: Prusa i3 * Rafts: No * Supports: Yes * Resolution: 0.2 * Infill: 15 - 25% * Notes: This design has been printed with PLA, and some parts require support. It is recommended to print the base with a small amount of infill to avoid flexibility issues.
