Rotary Tool Mount for Monoprice Select Mini
thingiverse
A mount I designed to convert my Select Mini into a CNC drill press. The goal was to make it simple to switch from the hot end to this setup and back again, so I integrated it with the existing X gantry for easy interface. I only use manual G-code commands to drill holes in my homemade PCBs. While I've achieved good results, I can't guarantee its effectiveness for standard CNC applications. If you try using it for that purpose, please share your experience. The part is designed to work with this component: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1848402. If all you need is a mounting bracket for the ZeroOffset_Bracket, you can skip printing the rest of the parts. My rotary tool measures 49mm in diameter at the point where I attached it, so that's the size of the opening in this mount. The Fusion 360 file is included if you want to customize it for your specific needs. To swap between the hot end and this CNC drill press, simply remove the two screws holding the hot end assembly in place, move it out of the way while keeping the fans clear, attach this part, put the rotary tool in position, and secure it with four M4 bolts. The printed parts were made from ABS plastic at a 0.175mm layer height.
