Rotary tool accessories
thingiverse
After pondering over expensive branded rotary tool accessories at the hardware store, I wondered why I didn't just rely on my amazing bot for creating these items. So, I started designing and here are the results: a circle cutter attachment to make large circles without needing a jigsaw or precise control; a sharpener attachment for sharpening any object; and a groove/cutting guide attachment for cutting along flat surfaces. Note that testing and printing of these attachments is still underway, but they should theoretically work. I've also made an update to the circle cutter (rev.1) with improvements like better compatibility with shorter bits and reduced plastic usage. The file size is smaller too. If you already have a printed version of the original cutter, you can modify it by cutting off the top before the screw holes and drilling a straight hole to remove the counterbore. For assembling the circle cutter attachment, you'll need an M4 screw & nut, a 624 bearing, an M8 rod, and four M8 nuts. To make smaller circles, use the slot and a screw. Drill a hole in your desired material, insert the screw, and tighten it down with the nut. Happy creating!
