The Victorian Era witnessed a remarkable design innovation in engineering: the Rotary Steam Engine. Showcased at Leicester's Royal Agricultural Exhibition in 1868, this engine was crafted by Mr. G.R.Cowen of Becks Works Nottingham. It boasted a 14" diameter and 18" long cylinder, with larger models generating 37 HP at speeds up to 1500 RPM.
