The idea was sparked after discovering this excellent design: https://www.thingiverse.com/make:435345. It's amusing to switch on your mobile phone's flash LED and observe the planet in the dark. However, I wanted to enjoy it while rotating. This design makes it easy to achieve that goal. The design can be used as a rotary pedestal for other objects besides the Jupiter model. Assembly is straightforward, so no instructions are necessary. To make this project work, you'll need to purchase an LED lamp ($1) with a touch switch and a USB cable (approximately $2). You may already have these items, but if not, I recommend buying them from Banggood: https://www.banggood.com/Left-Right-Angled-90-Degrees-USB-2_0-Type-A-Male-to-A-Female-Extension-Cable-Cord-Cord-p-1026905.html and https://www.gearbest.com/other-accessories/pp_315643.html. You can power this device using a USB charger or power bank. The external touch switch is simply a screw with a cable soldered directly to the LED lamp module's touch pad, making it easy to place on your nightstand as a night light.
