It tends to bulge when putting warm water inside due to the heat and vapor pressure. ABS worked great, PETG should work fine but I have not tried it. For the gearing I opted to use Polycarbonate since it is significantly harder and seems slicker than ABS. Nylon would also work fine. All body components were printed with ABS. I would avoid PLA period with this print as there is a lot of dynamic force when in use. I was able to load this up to 20 pounds total canister weight and use it continually. I like to follow STM's suggested recipe of 2Tbsp Dawn dish soap, 1/4t Lemi-Shine and use all 7 pounds of my steel media. I still have enough room to add 5-7 pounds of brass in the canister. Be mindful of wire routings to avoid the gears grabbing them. Also - should go without saying - Keep your fingers out of the gears. This gear motor is already geared down significantly without the additional gear reduction this system gives it. Fingers will probably not stop the gears from turning. I'll be working on an assembly guide for this project.
