Rotary Ignition Keyswitch for GA Flight Sim (C172)

thingiverse

This is a remix of [CaptainBobSim's keyswitch](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4978867) with inspiration from [AllanGlen's version](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2687594#files). The goal was to make CaptainBob's keyswitch easier to assemble: * Uses a keyed slot to position the lock body rather than the captive nut, which made it difficult to tighten properly while keeping desired lock alignment * Integrates the metal components from the back of lock (alignment washer, latching tab) into a printable coupler mechanism to reduce the number of small metal parts that need to be held in place during assembly ### Materials Filing Cabinet Lock (amazon, etc) 5-position rotary switch (amazon, etc) ~1.5" x 0.25" diameter extension spring (can accept wide range of springy things, such as rubber bands) 2x ~1cm ~M3 screws (to hold spring) OpenSCAD source is available on my github and is designed to be parametric so that you can customize it to suit your needs: [Printable parts](https://github.com/chungl/flight-sim/tree/main/c172/components/ignition_keyswitch) and [Panel label SVG](https://github.com/chungl/flight-sim/tree/main/c172/elec_panel)
